The Open

A US-listed stock traded on-chain under the SEC's Innovation Exemption for the first time on Wednesday. Canton Strategic Holdings (CNTN, $155M market cap) sold issuer-authorized shares to DRW Cumberland on TSV, a permissioned venue on the Canton Network, with Fairmint as transfer agent. The same day Morgan Stanley said it had tokenized US equities and Treasuries through DTCC's week-old service, as authorized shares, and OKXICE's objector count hit 59 with Apple, Home Depot and GE Vernova.

THE 3AM LINE: Dow +3.03%, S&P +1.58%, Nasdaq +1.44% on the midterm sweep; SpaceX −3.8%, Intel −3.7%; Bitcoin $80,360 (+3.4%, 5:11 pm ET); rwa.xyz +$0.18B to a record $3.89B, and SPCXB and INTCB grew into falling stocks.

Top of the Tape

Wednesday in one line: the authorized-share rail opened the day the third-party rail ran out of megacaps.

Chart of the Day

"Minted into the red." Paired bars for the two bStocks that grew fastest on Nov 4: token value change (rwa.xyz, Nov 3 to Nov 4) beside the stock's Nov 4 move, with a third bar for implied supply. The gap between the first two is the supply the backed-claim issuer created while the stock fell.

Data points. INTCB: $53.3M (Nov 3) to $83.0M (Nov 4), +55.8%; Intel −3.68% on Nov 4; implied supply +61.8%. SPCXB: $189.3M to $203.5M, +7.5%; SpaceX −3.81% at the close; implied supply +11.7%. Context series: INTCB $39.3M on Nov 1, SPCXB $171.1M on Nov 1. Sources: rwa.xyz (token values, Nov 4; Nov 1 and Nov 3 reads carried from prior issues), TradingKey (Intel), StockTitan (SpaceX close; TheStreet had SPCX −6.43% intraday). Caveat: implied supply = (1 + token change) / (1 + stock change) − 1, our arithmetic; rwa.xyz's daily mark time is not stated, so a few hours of price drift sit inside the residual.

Flow Watch

The Rulebook

US. The Innovation Exemption, the SEC's five-year conditional relief for venues trading tokenized US stocks in permissioned pools, carried its first trade: TSV LLC (notice Sept 23) ran CNTN as an issuer-authorized share, which skipped the 30-day objection window (Tradecraft release). OKXICE's Nov 3 notice stands at 59 objectors, no end date (Unchained). The SEC's venue page still lists three venues, updated Oct 21 (SEC). Democrats are reported to be weighing CLARITY Act revisions; preliminary (Motley Fool). For a holder: an authorized US share now trades on-chain in the US, but only from an allow-listed, identity-checked wallet.

EU. No change. ESMA's tokenised-collateral call for evidence stands (ESMA, carried).

Other. Binance: 98% of hacked assets backfilled; a Nov 4 proof-of-reserves snapshot covers 44 tokens, proof due in 50–60 hours; withdrawals still phased (PANews). For a holder: bStocks, $1.6B of 1:1 backed claims, remain unnamed in the proof and in any withdrawal phase.

Deal Flow

The Playbook (Pro)

Keep a supply ledger on the top ten bStocks. Each morning, take rwa.xyz's token value change and strip out the stock's move; the residual is net issuance of the 1:1 backed claim. Two reads running show INTCB and SPCXB issuing into falling stocks, about +62% and +12% on Nov 4. If issuance outruns price while Binance withdrawals stay phased, claims are being created faster than they can leave. That is the setup for an on-chain discount when withdrawals fully open. Log INTCB and SPCXB prints against the Nasdaq close at 8 pm and 7 am ET for a week; record the basis.

RISK LINE: the residual is our arithmetic, not a reported mint; rwa.xyz's mark time is unstated and token value carries price; 88% of bStocks sit in five Binance wallets and the proof covering them is unpublished.

Odds

Polymarket, "First to list tokenized stocks in the US?": Robinhood 38%, no listing by Dec 31, 2027 19%, Coinbase 17%, Kraken 10%, Gemini 9%; volume $106,075, unchanged a third day; TSV is not an outcome, so the CNTN trade does not resolve it. Coinbase ladder ($11,700, unchanged): Dec 31 32%, Mar 31 52%, Jun 30 55%. No Kalshi market found.

Sign-off

The first authorized share traded on-chain while the 59th company said no. That's the tape. The bell isn't ringing.

Corrections and disclosures

No corrections to the Nov 4 issue. Two updates: we wrote that Apple was "the notable megacap still silent"; OKXICE's Nov 3 notice, published after our draft, lists Apple as an objector. We wrote that Binance's Nov 4 snapshot proof would take 40–50 hours and cover ten assets; Binance now says 44 tokens and 50–60 hours (PANews). The transfer-volume print we flagged as a re-index held a second day and is now carried as base. No corrections to the Tape.
