How to buy tokenized stocks in Argentina (2026)

The short answer: yes. Residents of Argentina can buy tokenized US stocks from three of the four large issuers today, with USDT or USDC, no US brokerage account, 24/7. The cheapest route for most people is a centralized exchange that lists xStocks or Ondo tokens; the "real share" products (Securitize, Figure) are not aimed at Argentine retail yet. Tax treatment is the part people skip; it's below.

Which tokens can you hold from Argentina?

This table reads from the Index registry's availability flags and the issuers' own terms. Where an issuer's terms don't name Argentina, we say "check", not "yes".

Issuer Product Argentina Grade How
xStocks (Backed / Kraken) 715 stocks and ETFs, 10 chains Yes A Kraken, Bybit, Gate; or self-custody on Solana via Jupiter
Ondo Global Markets 430+ stocks and ETFs, 3 chains Yes A Binance, Bitget; Trust Wallet or MetaMask in-wallet; Jupiter on Solana
Binance bStocks A handful of US names, BNB Chain Check BBB Binance only; "permitted jurisdictions" per the ADGM prospectus, Argentina not named either way
Dinari dShares 724 stocks and ETFs Check BBB Non-US investors under Reg S via partner apps; KYC and allowlist to hold
Robinhood stock tokens EU derivative No B EU residents only
Securitize, Figure, Superstate Authorized shares Check AA / A KYC-gated registers built for US investors first

Where to buy, ranked by what it costs

Cost per $1,000 of tokenized Apple right now: spread plus fee plus slippage, from the Index's Cost Index. Rank is by cost; the affiliate links do not change it. Values are placeholders until venue feeds are live.

  1. Kraken — $3.10 (sample). xStocks, 24/7, USDT pairs. Withdraw tokens to your own Solana wallet. Open account · affiliate link
  2. Binance — $2.60 (sample). Ondo tokens and bStocks; the deepest P2P peso on-ramp in the country. Check bStocks eligibility at sign-up. Open account · affiliate link
  3. Bybit — $3.40 (sample). xStocks with the second-deepest books; good for the long tail of names. Open account · affiliate link
  4. Self-custody via Jupiter — $4.80 (sample). No account, no KYC to trade, you hold the token. Costs more in slippage on small pools and you are your own back office.

The five steps

  1. Get dollars on chain. Buy USDT or USDC with pesos on an exchange's P2P market or a local on-ramp. Stablecoins are the settlement currency for every token on this page.
  2. Pick the structure you want. A backed claim (xStocks, bStocks) is redeemable for the share's value; a tracker (Ondo) mirrors total return. Neither gives you a vote.
  3. Buy on the venue with the lowest cost for that token. The difference between venues is usually larger than the exchange fee.
  4. Decide where it lives. Leaving it on the exchange is simpler; withdrawing to your own wallet removes exchange risk but makes you responsible for the keys and for redemption paperwork.
  5. Record it for tax. Keep the buy price in pesos and dollars on the day.

What can go wrong

  • The issuer, not Tesla, is your counterparty. An issuer failure is a recovery process, not a brokerage claim.
  • Premiums appear when the exchange is closed and a headline hits; you may pay more than the share is worth at the open.
  • Redemption is for onboarded accounts on most products; retail exits through the venue's book.
  • Rules change. The SEC's exemption bars synthetic tokens and lets issuers veto listings; a token can be delisted.

Questions people ask

Do I get dividends? Yes, on all four large issuers, but as an increase in your token's exposure (xStocks, Ondo, bStocks) or in USDC (Dinari), not as cash from the company.

Can I vote? No, except with authorized-share products, which don't serve Argentine retail yet.

Which is the "safest"? Structurally, the ones with daily attestations and bankruptcy-remote vehicles; see the Scorecard. Safest is a structure question, not a price question.

Disclosures. Tokenized earns a commission when you open an account through links marked affiliate. Rankings follow the Cost Index and the Scorecard; affiliate relationships do not affect rank. This is general information, not personal advice, and not a financial promotion in jurisdictions where that requires authorization we do not hold.
